SAARATHI

Saarathi is a non-profit charitable organization based in Gadag district, dedicated to the integrated development of the farming and rural community, with a special emphasis on youth development programs. Established in 2011-2012 under the Karnataka Societies Act, 1960, Saarathi has its registered office in Hirehandigol village and its administrative office in Hulkoti village, both located in Gadag district.

ABOUT

Saarathi is a non-profit charitable voluntary organisation functioning in Gadag district with the objective of integrated development of farming and rural community with special focus on youth development programmes.   Saarathi was established in 2011-12 under the Karnataka Societies Act, 1960.  Saarati is having Registered Office at Hirehandigol village in Gadag district and Administration office at Hulkoti village in Gadag district.  The group of young, educated and having social background persons belonging to same age; passionate thinking and committed to rural development have joined hands for the establishment of Saarathi to educate farming and rural community.  The group believes that only education can help the people to improve their socio-economic conditions.  Saarathi provides the platform for individual development through imparting knowledge and skills in collaboration with the various agencies.  Saarathi believes that the collaborative model and work with multiple partners including NGOs, Corporates and the Government brings the change in the society.

Mission

Train farmers, farm women, youth and students to upgrade knowledge and skills to improve their socio-economic conditions.


Objectives

  • To conduct vocational training programmes to unemployed youth for promotion of self employment.
  • Formation of SHGs and JLGs for initiation of Socio-economic development.
  • To educate farmers, farm women, youth and students on various knowledge and skills.
  • To work as Micro Finance Institutions (MFI) in collaboration with Banks and other Financial Institutions.
  • To establish old aged homes in rural areas.
  • To establish eye donation centres.
  • Establishment of Leadership Development Institute in rural areas.
  • To create awareness on protection of environment to ensure green India.
  • To educate people on save water, reuse of water and harvesting of rain water.
